Push to remove internal combustion engines by 2035

Environmentalists push for removal of internal combustion engines

Is it now game over for the internal combustion engine in Europe? Earlier this week, the EU governments agreed to end sales of polluting cars and vans by 2035. This will have a huge impact already today since all big investments and development resources will now be steered away from ICE (internal combustion engine) cars – and into the EV sector.

Volvo Cars were the only car manufacturer to support this decision. Stuart Templar, Director of Global Sustainability explains why in an interview earlier this year. “Climate action is essential to our future success”.

Now that the transport industry is finally turning its back on fossil fuels, the oil companies are shifting focus to the plastic industry, which will affect what we wear.
Unfortunately, the oil industry is still getting good support from our elected leaders. Emanuel Macron and other G7 leaders were pushing for increased oil production at this week’s G7 summit.

Another setback this week was that ️the US Supreme Court restricts EPA's authority to mandate CO2 emissions.

Furthermore, as sustainability expert Mattias Goldmann writes in his in-depth analysis of the latest UN climate summit in Bonn, only a handful of countries have sharpened their climate since COP26, despite promises to do so.

The good news is that more and more companies and people are continuing to develop and implement climate solutions to reduce emissions and increase sustainability. We will solve the climate crisis, but we need to speed up change.

PS. Using XSNANO can dramatically reduce emissions in all engines (petrol or diesel). see xsnano.com.au for details.
